Tambak Bayan Calling
Tambak Bayan is an old chinatown in Surabaya city. Tambak Bayan is a historical place in Surabaya because here is the oldest Chinese village in Surabaya. the majority of the population in the Tambak Bayan are indeed not entirely of ethnic Chinese, but have been mixed with other ethnicities such as Java and Madura. There are not many people here who have big houses because the conditions are in the middle of the city. the economic situation in the Tambak Bayan is not as rich as the ethnic Chinese in general, but here there is a harmonious and happy community. This photo was taken during Chinese New Year in 2018. I hope they live a prosperous and happy life.
